Have you ever known of anyone who had cancer? How about anyone who's ever had a heart attack? MS? Alzheimer's?
It's almost a ridiculous question, right? Almost all of us know someone affected by some kind of critical illness.
What if it happened to one of your staff?
They would almost certainly have to take time off work. A family member might also have to take time off work to look after them. They might have Disability Insurance if your Group Insurance covers it, but that has limits, and won't pay at all when they return to work. They'll probably have a ton of other bills -- child care expenses, drug costs, etc.
Critical Illness Insurance is built to help your team weather the storm. It's incredibly flexible, inexpensive insurance for survivors of critical illnesses like Heart Attack, Stroke and Cancer. Insurance that pays out 30 days after a diagnosis and can be used however people wish.
Some Group Insurance Plans will offer Critical Illness Insurance as part of the plan, but this is still pretty rare. We can help you in one of two ways:
1. We can help design a Group Insurance Plan that incorporates Critical Illness Insurance into the plan
2. We can offer Critical Illness Insurance as a Voluntary Benefit. This means that people who are interested in Critical Illness Insurance can sign up for it, but they'll be able to do it at clearly defined group rates.
For businesses, we can also help to set you up with Key Person Critical Illness Insurance that helps your company weather the storm should a key person get diagnosed with a Critical Illness.
Question: What diseases are covered?

Question: What if I have a pre-existing condition?
Answer: Generally speaking, you can't be covered for a condition that you already have. But you could be covered for an unrelated condition. For example, you could have had a Heart Attack in the past and you wouldn't be able to claim on a future heart attack. But if you later had a cancer diagnosis that wasn't related to the heart attack, you could claim on that.
