For over 35 years, Capital Estate Planning has been helping Alberta organizations look after their people, and helping Albertans look after their families.
We do this through several key pillars:
Group Benefits help take care of employees’ health and dental care – all those services that aren’t covered by Alberta Health Services. We work with organizations to analyze their plans, make recommendations on design, and advocate and negotiate on their behalf with insurance companies.
We have very strong experience working with organizations in areas such as health care (long term care facilities, medical and dental clinics, for example); municipalities; and private businesses.
Group RRSP / TFSA / RRIF are services that help you and your employees save for the future. As the providers of the ATA Group RRSP and related offerings, we work with nearly every school board in Alberta to provide a Group RRSP to teachers and non-teaching staff employed across the Province. As such, we have an exceptional level of experience with setting up Group RRSP programs; working with business owners and their staff across Alberta; and helping individuals set up their investing through services like automatic payroll deduction.
Insurance services help people protect themselves and their families from some of the worst risks in life. Life Insurance ensures that they aren’t leaving their loved ones in the lurch if they die prematurely. Critical Illness Insurance pays you a large, tax-free cheque if you're diagnosed with a major disease such as Cancer, Heart Attack or Stroke (or dozens of others). For those working for school boards, we also manage the ATA Group Life+ and ATA Group Critical Illness programs.
Individual Investing Services for clients who need more customized plans because of specific financial circumstances.
It all started with a farm kid.
Randy Olson, our founder, learned a lot of great things growing up on a farm near Ardrossan, AB. He learned the value of hard work. He learned that you “eat what you grow”. His dad drove the school bus, so he was the first one on and the last one off – so you had to get along with people.
He also learned that he was allergic to hay.
He started University in accounting, but soon realized he had too much personality (sorry accountants). He was scouted into the investment industry, and eventually founded the firm that we see today – a multidisciplinary financial services firm with about 15 people dedicated to helping clients and building excellent relationships with the sectors we serve.
We’d love to hear about how we can help you or your organization invest in and protect your future. Please contact us today to let us know how we can do that.
